Route: Houay Xai – Pakbeng – Luang Prabang – Vang Vieng – Vientiane – Pakse – Bolaven Plateau – 4000 Islands
Day 1: Chiang Khong – Houay Xai – Pakbeng
Meet at the pickup point in Chiang Khong and transfer to the border with luggage handling and visa assistance at Houay Xai.
Embark on a 2-day/1-night escorted cruise down the Mekong River with an English-speaking host. Enjoy freshly cooked lunch, tea, coffee, and bottled drinking water onboard. Along the way, take in the peaceful riverside scenery before reaching Pakbeng, a charming riverside town.

Day 2: Pakbeng – Luang Prabang by Cruise
Continue your Mekong River journey downstream to Luang Prabang. Along the way, observe local fishermen, riverside villages, and stop at the famous Pak Ou Caves, home to thousands of Buddha images. Enjoy panoramic views of the Mekong before arriving at Luang Prabang.
Meet your local guide and transfer from the pier to your hotel in the UNESCO Heritage City.

Day 3: Luang Prabang UNESCO City Tour & Kuang Si Waterfall
Rise early at 5:00 AM to experience the serene ritual of Almsgiving, an ancient Buddhist tradition. Visit the local morning market before returning to your hotel for breakfast.
Explore Luang Prabang’s highlights:
- Royal Palace Museum – Home to royal artifacts.
- Wat Xieng Thong – A 16th-century masterpiece of Lao art and architecture.
- Phou Si Hill – Climb for panoramic views of the city and Mekong River.

Day 4: Luang Prabang – Vang Vieng (by High-Speed Train)
After breakfast, transfer to the train station for your journey to Vang Vieng via the Laos-China Railway.
Upon arrival, visit one of Vang Vieng’s most famous caves, followed by a short, scenic hike offering panoramic views of the valley. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or enjoying spa facilities.

Day 5: Vang Vieng – Vientiane
Start your day with a boat trip on the Nam Song River, surrounded by stunning karst landscapes. Visit Tham Lom Cave, followed by Blue Lagoon (Phou Kham Caves) and Tham Chang Cave, both offering spectacular views.
In the afternoon, drive to Vientiane, the capital city (approx. 1 hour, 145 km).

Day 9: Pakse – Wat Phou – Don Deth Island
Visit the pre-Angkorian Wat Phou Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue by longtail boat along the Mekong River to Don Deth Island.
Enjoy lunch and explore Don Khone Island, including the Liphi Waterfalls (“Corridor of the Devil”).

Day 10: Don Deth – Khone Phapheng – Departure
