DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN VIENTIANE – CITY TOUR

Welcome to Vientiane! Upon arrival at Vientiane International Airport and after completing customs and immigration procedures, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel.

Begin your city tour with a visit to Wat Sisaket, known for its thousands of miniature Buddha statues. Continue to Wat Simuang and Wat Prakeo, the former home of the revered Emerald Buddha (now in Bangkok).
Next, visit the impressive That Luang Stupa, the national symbol of Laos and the most sacred monument in the country.
Stop at Patuxay (Victory Monument), often compared to the Arc de Triomphe. It was built after the Indochina wars with funds rumored to have been intended for a new airport runway—hence its nickname, “the Vertical Runway”. Explore the beautiful interior arches before returning to your hotel.

DAY 2: VIENTIANE – VANG VIENG (BY PRIVATE MINIVAN)

After breakfast, drive to Vang Vieng (approximately 1.5 hours). En route, stop at Houei Mor Village to observe various local fish products and village life.
Arrive in Vang Vieng and check in at your hotel.
In the afternoon, visit Jang Cave, where locals once sheltered during the Indochina War. Then cross the Song River to visit the Blue Lagoon, where you can take photos, relax, or hike to Phoukham Cave.
In the evening, enjoy a leisurely stroll through Vang Vieng Walking Street Night Market.

DAY 3: VANG VIENG – LUANG PRABANG (BY HIGH-SPEED TRAIN)

After breakfast, transfer to the station and board the high-speed train to Luang Prabang.
Arrive in the late afternoon, check in at your hotel, and around 16:30, climb Mount Phousi to enjoy a panoramic sunset over the Mekong River and the old town.

DAY 4: LUANG PRABANG – UNESCO CITY TOUR – KUANG SI WATERFALL

Optional: Wake up early to join the traditional Alms-Giving Ceremony, where hundreds of monks walk through the streets to collect offerings. Visit the nearby Morning Market at Prakam Village.
After breakfast, start your city tour:

  • National Museum (former Royal Palace)
  • Wat Mai
  • Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham
  • Wat Xieng Thong, the most beautiful and iconic temple in Luang Prabang
  • Wat Sene, one of the oldest temples in Laos

In the afternoon, visit Big Brother Mouse, where you can support local literacy by purchasing and donating books. Then drive 30 km to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall, where you can relax, swim, take photos, and visit the Bear Rescue Center.

DAY 5: LUANG PRABANG – NONG KHIAW (BY PRIVATE MINIVAN)

After breakfast, meet your guide and transfer to Nong Khiaw (approximately 3 hours).
Check in at your hotel before enjoying lunch by the riverside.
Afterward, visit the historic Phathok Cave, used as a shelter during the “Secret War.” Enjoy a scenic walk through rice fields and learn about this important part of Lao history.
Optional: Hike to the Nong Khiaw Viewpoint (approx. 1.5 hours) for a breathtaking view of the town and surrounding mountains.

DAY 6: NONG KHIAW – MUANG NGOY – NONG KHIAW

After breakfast, take a scenic boat trip along the Nam Ou River (approx. 1.5 hours) to Muang Ngoy, then continue 40 minutes upstream to Sopcheang Village, where Lao Loum, Lao Terng, and Khmu ethnic groups live.
Walk around the village to observe traditional rural life. Return to Muang Ngoy for lunch, then explore the tranquil town, enjoy the landscape, and take pictures.
Late afternoon, cruise back to Nong Khiaw.

DAY 7: NONG KHIAW – LUANG PRABANG (BY PRIVATE MINIVAN)

After breakfast, return to Luang Prabang (approx. 3 hours).
Upon arrival at Pak Ou Village, take a boat to the famous Pak Ou Caves, filled with thousands of Buddha statues.
Cruise down the Mekong toward Luang Prabang, stopping at Ban Xanghai to taste traditional Lao rice wine.
On arrival, visit Ban Xang Khong, known for handmade weaving and Saa paper crafts.

DAY 8: LUANG PRABANG – DEPARTURE

Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
